A quiet place to ask an old book a good question — and to learn enough to answer it yourself.
Why we built it
Most oracle sites do one thing: click a button, get a hexagram, read a paragraph of generic fortune. It is fast and it is forgettable. What made the I Ching worth keeping for three thousand years was never the paragraph — it was the pause before the question, the slow work of learning what the images mean, and other people to think alongside.
Yisdom puts those back. We treat the Book of Changes as what it is: a mirror for your own thinking, not a fortune-teller. You bring a real question and its context; you cast a hexagram with virtual coins or your own; and you get a grounded reading — the situation, the trigrams, the changing lines, and where things tend — that you finish interpreting yourself.

The Council of guides
When you want more than the built-in reading, a small team of seven virtual guides — a forward-deployed council, one job each — reads your cast in turn: one sharpens your question, one reads the season around it, one casts, two read the images and the moving lines, one reflects it back to you, and one keeps the record. They are built on a large language model, they never predict events, and they never give medical, legal or financial advice. See how they work.
How we keep the lights on
The built-in reading is free and unlimited, forever. The AI Council gives everyone a few free readings, after which small credit packs cover the real cost of running the model. Some links to books and tools are affiliate links, marked as such, that may earn us a small commission at no cost to you. We show no ads and we do not sell your data. That is the whole business.
A word on respect
The I Ching comes from a living tradition. We use the Chinese terms alongside plain-English translations, we distinguish traditional understanding from anything resembling a claim, and we hold all of it lightly and gratefully. If we get something wrong, please tell us.
